My name is Riston Wojcik. I am a senior RHP and 3B for Mankato East and I graduate in 2023.

I plan to attend Bethany Lutheran College and play baseball. I will major in exercise science.

My goal for the season is to be big 9 conference champions, section Champs, and go to state.

My best memory is having a walkoff grandslam in playoffs when I was 11.

I love baseball because of my amazing teammates and the unforgettable memories we make outside of baseball.

My 2 favorite athletes are A.J. Dillon for football and for baseball it's Devin Williams.

The best advice I've received is from my Junior Varsity coach Hoekstra. He told us the importance of caring deeply for the game of baseball. He told us to be there for the right reasons and if you are going to show up make sure you care.

My advice to young players is don't be afraid. You have to swing the bat to hit the ball.

Pregame meal? I prefer to play on an empty stomach because I get nervous and feel sick, but all the sickness goes away after the first pitch.

My pregame ritual is taking my time with everything. I'm usually the last person to finish throwing and warm-ups. It takes me longer because everything I do has a deep purpose.

My favorite class is AVID.

I would like to thank my parents and coaches, especially Micah Degner and Travis Miller. They have always hung with me and believed in me and I owe a lot to them.
