The Portolite Peppers National 16u team tied the Desert Gators 4-4 in the second game of the Colorado Sparkler Tournament.

The Peppers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on an RBI fielder's choice by Emily Hacker.

Jillian Olsen followed with a single that scored two, making it 3-0 Peppers in the 1st.

The Gators then scored three in the 2nd, and took the 4-3 lead in the 5th inning.

Torii Emery then delivered a clutch RBI single to tie the game in the bottom of the 6th.

Kya Alderson pitched 4 1/3 innings for the Peppers. She surrendered one unearned run and had four strikeouts and no walks.

Mariah Anderson was the starting pitcher. She allowed two hits and three runs while walking seven.

The Peppers had nine hits, including three from Madeline Beaty. She was 3-4 in the game. Olsen led the team with 2 RBIs. Lydia Banse finished 2-4.
