Mariah Anderson was dominant on the mound as the starting pitcher rang up 13 strikeouts in the Portolite Peppers National 16u's 6-0 victory over Hot Shots Fastpitch SD 16u on Sunday. Anderson give up just two hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking two.

The Peppers won in part, due to a four-run seventh inning. Carlie Wendinger doubled, scoring two runs, Madeline Beaty added an RBI groundout and Emily Hacker added an RBI single.

Lydia Banse clobbered a two-run homer in the third, one of the Peppers nine hits.

Jayda Swalve and Kya Alderson each collected two hits for the Peppers. Wendinger and Banse each had 2 RBIs.
