The Portolite Peppers National 16u team beat the KC Rebels 14 National-Olsen team 4-2 in the USA Elite Selects Tourney in Kansas City.
The Peppers scored in the third inning when Emily Hacker doubled and Lydia Banse homered, each scoring two runs. Hacker would finish the game 2-3.
Mariah Anderson started the game on the mound. She gave up four hits and two runs over three innings. She struck out four and walked two.
Addisyn Hansen threw three innings on relief, allowing no runs, while giving up only one hit while striking out three and walking one.
