The Portolite Peppers National 16u Team played their second game and got their second win in the tourney with a 7-3 win over the Iowa Premier 24/25 National team.

After trailing in the first, Torii Emery singled on a full count to help tie the game at 2-2.

Iowa would take the 3-2 lead back in the second, but the Peppers took control from there.

A walk to Kya Alderson tied the game in the 4th, and then in the 6th inning the Peppers exploded for four runs. Emery had a sac fly and 2 RBIs.

Kyla Stenzel also added a sac fly.

Alderson pitched four innings in relief, giving up only two hits and zero runs. She struck out one and didn't walk anyone.

Carlie Wendinger, Lydia Banse, Stenzel, Emery, Addison Hansen and Jayda Swalve each collected one hit for the Peppers.

Madeline Beatty stole two bases.
