The Portolite Peppers National 16u team erupted for 16 runs as they defeated the Diamond Club Premier 16-9.
Jillian OIsen led the way offensively, going 3-4 with two RBIs. She also scored three runs. Kya Alderson also added three hits in four at-bats.
The Peppers had 17 hits in all. Madeline Beaty was 2-5, as was Carlie Wendinger. Wendinger also had 2 RBIs. Emily Hacker also had two hits in five trips. She had one RBI on a home run.
Lydia Banse was 1-4 with 2RBIs. Torii Emery was 2-4. Jayda Swalve was 2-4 with 2 RBIs to round out the Peppers attack.
Mariah Anderson was the starting pitcher. She went three innings, giving up two hits, one earned run and four strikeouts.
Kyla Stenzel pitched 1 2/3 innings, giving up three earned runs. And Kya Alderson rounded out the pitching, going 2 1/3 innings while giving up three earned runs with one strikeout.
