Portolite Peppers National 16u won big over Wisconsin Bandits Laabs 16u 8-2 on Saturday.
The Peppers opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles, including an RBI single from Emily Hacker.
The Peppers extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Torii Emery and Kya Alderson.
Alderson stepped in the circle for the Peppers. The right-hander allowed just two hits and zero runs over three innings while striking out one and walking one.
The Peppers had 10 hits total. Hacker and Madeline Beaty each had two. Emery led the way with three RBIs, finishing the game 2-2.
