The Portolite Peppers National 16u beat Ho'omau 16u 10-4 to continue play in the Colorado Sparkler Tournament.
Lydia Banse led the way offensively, going 3-3 with a triple and two doubles.
The Peppers took a 1-0 lead in the 1st after Banse's triple. Emily Hacker hit a sac fly to bring her in.
Then Banse and the Peppers would strike again in the 2nd. Banse doubled in a run.
The 4th inning brought in five runs for the Peppers. Hacker tripled in a run, Jillian Olsen had an RBI, as did Jayda Swalve. Torii Emery had two RBIs and two hits in the game. Gracie Linbo was 2-3 in the contest.
Mariah Anderson was the winning pitcher. She gave up six hits and three earned runs. She struck out seven.
