Peyton Stevermer's walk-off hit to deep left field to score Destiny Reasner gave the Cougars the thrilling 3-2 victory over the defending state champions and cross-town rival Scarlets.

It was a game that featured great pitching and defense by both teams. Kylinn Stangl was the winning pitching for East, as she pitched the complete game. She also did it at the plate, adding an RBI single to score Sydney Jacobs in the first to give East the 1-0 lead.

East would add another run to go up 2-0 before West came storming back to tie the game in the top of the 7th. Breck Carlson and Carlee Emery each singled before Landry DuBeau delivered the game-tying, two RBI single to tie it at 2-2 in the 7th.

That led to the bottom of the 7th. Reasner led off with a double and after an out and an intentional walk to Jacobs, Stevermer came up to the plate to drive in the winning run in walk off fashion!

The two teams will play each other again on May 19 at West.
